FAQs
Below are answers to frequently asked questions. If you do not see an answer to your question, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Where can I download my designs?
You need an account in order to purchase files through our site. This is to allow you to have access to your files even if you lose the email with your download link. After purchase, design files will be available for instant download. You will be able to download your files one of three ways:
- After your transaction has been approved, you will be redirected to an order confirmation page with a download button. Select the button and your files will immediately download.
- After purchase you will receive two emails. The first is your order confirmation. This does not have a download link. The second email will have a "View your Downloads" button that will redirect you to your downloads page where you can select the Download button.
- Any time after purchase, you can log into your account and select the Design Downloads button. This will give you access to your entire order history where you can download your designs whenever needed.
What colour format/resolution are your PNG images?
PNG images are designed using RGB colour format. They are made in high resolution (300 dpi) for high quality printing. Please note: colour may vary across screens and printers.
Will downloaded designs be watermarked?
No. Once purchased, designs will be downloaded without the watermark.
I’ve downloaded my files, how do I open them?
Files are in compressed .zip folders and will need to be extracted. This process will vary slightly for PC and Mac users. Since computer systems vary across platforms, if you are unsure how to do this, I recommend using Google to search for step-by-step instructions. Depending on your computer, you may need to download file extraction software (like WinZip for Windows). However, usually it is just as simple as right clicking the file and selecting “Extract All”.
My SVG files are opening an Internet Web Browser. What do I do?
Most computers default SVG files to open in an Internet Web Browser. If you have design software that is compatible with SVG graphics, you can either upload it directly to your software (such as Cricut Design Space), or (on a PC) you can right click the file and select “Open with” and choose the app/software you would like to open it with. If this does not work for you, and you are certain you have design software that is compatible with SVG files, you may need to Google your exact circumstance to get a more personalized solution.
I downloaded and opened my file but it seems to be blank.
If a file is all white (like the floating ornament template) it may look like it is not there (an all white object on a white background won’t show). If you upload the file to your cutting machine software you should see it when you’ve added it to your art board. If you are working with another form of design software, you can just select the layer and change to colour to see it, or change your artboard colour.
Do I need to watermark product mock-ups, or completed work?
Any mock-ups or completed physical items with solid backgrounds which can easily be traced (e.g. plain shirt or mug, waterslide/sublimation transfers) made using my designs will need to be watermarked to help prevent illegal tracing and accidental distribution of the image as a digital file. Unfortunately, dishonest people exist and do make traces/copies of designs even from images of completed works. You can use your own logo, a pattern or words of your choosing to watermark your photos. If the photo of your completed work is not on a solid background or is photographed at a distance or angle where the design cannot be traced, then watermarking is optional.
Can I share product images to determine customer interest?
You can share any listing photos of the actual designs with your customers to help gauge interest. However, mock-ups or examples of completed projects made using the designs need to be created by you.
Do I need to attribute your designs on my completed work?
No, you do not have to attribute designs used on your physical end products. But if you want to share where you purchased your designs, it’s always appreciated.
Do you offer refunds on digital designs?
There are no refunds or returns on digital downloads due to the nature of the items. As such, please make sure you read the listing carefully to understand which files/sizes/formats are included in the listings, and to understand the file software requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure you have compatible software prior to purchasing. That being said, if you are having difficulties with a file, please do not hesitate to contact me. Usually there is an easy fix!
Can I sell prints of your designs through my small business (eg. waterslide, tattoo, sublimation, and/or screen print transfers)?
Standard licensing (the license that comes with the purchase of the file) does not include permission to sell waterslide, tattoo, sublimation, and/or screen print transfers. You can, however, purchase either a Individual File Print License or a Shop-Wide File Print License for these uses.
Please see our Licensing/Terms of Use for more innformation. *Please note: licensing DOES NOT allow for third party printing/fulfillment/print-on-demand (POD).
